Maintenance Planner

Job Role: The Maintenance Planner is responsible for short and long-term planning of the rolling stock equipment fleets. This position requires someone with a proven track record for promoting a safe work environment. Strong verbal and written skills are a prerequisite as well as being cost conscious.

Main Duties: - Develop plans including parts and materials requirements for major maintenance activities such as overhauls, equipment rebuilds; and work with maintenance, production, purchasing and warehousing personnel - Manage work order process to ensure work is properly planned, scheduled and performed, and history is input into Ellipse. - Coordinate the warranty claim process and component life costs for maintenance department. - Plan, coordinate, and direct maintenance hourly employees to inspect, repair and troubleshoot equipment problems safely and efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience: - Five (5) years of experience in coal mining - Maintenance supervisory and/or hands-on experience. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects - Working collaboratively with other departments - Ability to think critically and problem solve - Must be self-motivated and results driven - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written - Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel - Proficient computer skills - Excellent organizational, record-keeping and proofreading skills.
