The Town of Eagle, a dynamic, recreation-oriented, and growing community, has an excellent opportunity for a skilled and proven Administrative Technician for our Public Works Department.

Position Title: Administrative Technician – Public Works

Reports to/Department: Public Works Director – Public Works

Location: 1050 Chambers Ave., Eagle, CO 81631

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Hiring Range: $23.63 - $28.36, the maximum pay for this position is $33.09, based on qualifications and experience.

Pre-Hire Requirements: This position requires successful completion of a criminal and motor vehicle record background check.

 

Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Public Works Director, this position provides administrative support to the Public Works team requiring a thorough knowledge of the department, its procedures, and operational details. This position handles confidential/sensitive material, composes, and prepares correspondence using considerable judgment in content and style and performs data entry. Also provides information to the public and staff requiring knowledge of department services, policies, and procedures. Responds to Town resident calls, complaints, and requests. Typical duties are answering calls, greeting customers, creating reports, managing files, applications, coding invoices for payment, reviewing fee structures and related regulations, and other administrative support functions as needed by staff.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of administrative experience, preferably involving public contact.
  • Strong Computer Skills.
  • Financial Aptitude.
  • Experience and Knowledge of Public Administration Practices preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position eligible for benefits. Normal days of work are Monday through Friday. Core required work hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily. May attend various committee meetings that typically occur during regular business hours.
