Irrigation and Parks Maintenance Seasonal Position

The Town of Basalt is currently accepting applications for the Parks and Irrigation Maintenance seasonal position. Duties include maintenance and repair of all irrigation systems for the Town’s parks, gardens, and trees. This position will also assist with parks and public works related projects, including tree pruning and natural resource management. The working environment is team oriented within the Public Works Department. This position can be physically demanding and requires working outside in all weather conditions while safely operating vehicles and other small equipment. Requires a willingness to help other departments, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn and provide the public with beautiful, safe, and enjoyable outdoor spaces. Employment is full-time starting spring through fall. Work schedule is typically 7 am-3:30 pm Monday through Friday. Pay range $20/hour -$25/hour depending on experience and commitment. Possibility for end of summer bonus. A valid driver’s license is required, and hiring will be contingent upon passing a Motor Vehicle Record check.
