The Community Development Technician is responsible for performing technical and semi-professional planning tasks for the Community Development Department, including processing planning and building permits, the review and analysis of land development applications, and performing detailed studies and research. This position is responsible for responding to in-person, email, and phone inquiries from the public, other Town departments and outside agencies.

HIRING BONUS! $2,000

$1,000 after working 30 days and the remaining $1,000 after one year of employment

Hiring Range is: $26.68 - $30.24

Full Pay Range is: $26.68 - $35.58

Position Requirements     

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Either two years of undergraduate education in urban planning, management, or a closely related field, or two years of experience in municipal planning or closely related field.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License at time of employment.
• Ability to review, interpret and analyze maps., graphs, site plans, plats, and regulatory documents.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning or closely related field.
• Familiarity with Comprehensive Planning documents and municipal codes.
