Personal Summer Chef/Seasonal

We are a family owned ranch that is our “camp” for the summers, we have our family, and friends come and visit and enjoy horseback riding, hiking, fly fishing, ropes course and more. This is not a guest ranch it is solely for our use with family and friends.

This job takes place between Memorial Day and Labor Day. This job entails cooking for the owners and guests while at the ranch. While not at the ranch the chef will be needed to do some cooking and food shopping in Vail. Our permanent home is in Vail, Colorado.

We eat a very healthy organic diet at all times “if possible.” There are some allergies to be dealt with as well as adhering to a strict low salt diet. We also eat mainly paleo and this can vary on nights like Italian night! Accommodations are supplied at the ranch. The amount of diners can range from 2-20. When at the ranch we also provide meals for all ranch hands. There are 2 ranch hands working at the ranch that help with house cleaning, horses, ranch chores and aid the cook in the kitchen with some prep and clean up. We require that the chef be available at all times during the summer to head to the ranch even at the last minute. We want a culinary trained chef that can vary the type of cuisine and diet on a daily basis. 5 years experience. This includes Asian cuisine, Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican, good old American (fried chicken) etc. etc. The chef is responsible for all ordering and maintaining a fully stocked pantry and fridge.

Salary Range $2,000-$3,000 per week depending on experience. Job is Memorial day through Labor day.
