Job Details: Superintendents manage multiple projects at a time. They are responsible for coordinating schedules, monitoring subcontractor performance and quality control. They will need excellent communication skills and will be required to set performance goals and meet deadlines. They are instrumental in planning all construction processes and assisting with estimating and tracking costs needed to determine and maintain job budgets. Will assist in obtaining construction permits from appropriate jurisdictions and scheduling inspections. Determining material orders and tracking deliveries to manage materials stock. Ensure job sites remain safe and secure; clean and orderly. Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
Skills/Requirement: A thorough knowledge of local building codes and inspection processes are a must. Extensive knowledge of OSHA guidelines for safe construction sites is essential. Being well versed in reading and interpreting construction blueprints is a must. Proficiency in MS Office Software is extremely beneficial. Organizational and time management skills are necessary. Ability to lead and inspire. A degree in construction management or similar work experience is a must.
