Apprentice Fire Sprinkler Fitter Technician:

Job Responsibilities - Installation, maintenance, and testing of residential and commercial fire sprinkler piping systems. Willingness to learn how to read blueprints. Willingness to learn building code standards.

Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age. No prior experience required. Possess a valid driver’s license. Able to lift to 50 pounds Willing to climb and work from ladders of various heights. Must be willing to learn using self-paced study guidebooks and take exams covering fire sprinkler code.

Licensed Fire Sprinkler Fitter Technician:

Job Responsibilities - Ensures compliance with the applicable IBC, IFC and NFPA codes. Works with multiple types of pipes, including steel, copper, CPVC and Aquatherm. Proficient at reading blueprints. Work includes job readiness analysis, project takeoffs, lay out, fabricating, assembling, and installing fire sprinkler piping systems, standpipes, and dry systems. Familiarity or experience in installing commercial kitchen, dry aerosol, and chemical suppression systems. Perform repairs and inspections of existing commercial and residential fire sprinkler and back flow systems. Mentor and coach Fire Sprinkler Service Apprentices on proper installation, repair, and service techniques.

Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age Must have at least two years of experience in plumbing or fire sprinkler systems. Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills. Possess a valid driver’s license. Able to lift to 50 pounds. Willing to climb and work from ladders of various heights.
