Job Title: Caregiver

Location: Steamboat Springs, CO

Hours: Part-time, 3-5 days per week, 6 hours per day

Job Description: We are currently seeking compassionate caregivers to join our in-home caregiving team.

Positions:

1. Full Time shift (two 24hr shifts back to back) 9am to 9am 2 days per week @ $18/hour.
2. Part Time shift 10am-4pm (3- 5 days/week) @ $25/hour. 

Responsibilities:

• Dementia Care: Implement specialized care techniques and strategies to support clients with dementia, including providing a safe and structured environment, engaging in memory-stimulating activities, and managing challenging behaviors with empathy and patience.
• Personal Care Assistance: Provide assistance with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized environment, including dusting, vacuuming, and tidying up living spaces.
• Laundry: Assist with laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes and linens.
• Cooking: Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks ensuring that clients receive balanced and delicious food options.
• Social Interaction: Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Community Activities: Accompany clients on outings and community activities, such as walks, visits to local attractions, or participation in hobby groups.
• Errands: Run errands, including grocery shopping, prescription pick-up, mail handling, and other necessary tasks to support their daily living needs.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role preferred.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for running errands and accompanying clients on outings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a supportive and reliable team member.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and client needs.
• Basic cooking skills and knowledge of nutrition guidelines to prepare balanced and appetizing meals.
• Background check required (cost covered)
