Position Summary: The Guest Services position at Habitat for Humanity ReStore of the Roaring Fork Valley involves managing guest transactions, creating guest profiles, and promoting donation programs while ensuring accurate cash handling. The role includes maintaining a welcoming and organized sales floor, assisting with inventory processing, and supporting guests with their inquiries and purchases. 

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Front counter responsibilities:
  • complete guest purchases,
  • create guest profiles in ThriftCart,
  • precise collection of funds, and cash management
  • promote Builders Club program to help build more homes,
  • request donations at check-out
  • gather information for deliveries, including appropriate sales tax,
  • a good steward of customer information.
  • Sales floor presence, greet each guest in the area, and offer assistance. The guest shopping experience is a priority.
  • Assist in processing new arrivals and uploading these items to our inventory management system and online ReStore.
  • Make sure the area around the front counter and entryway is safe, organized, shoppable, and clean.
  • Answer guest questions or find another team member to assist them.
  • Ask for help and support when needed.
  • Assist in unloading and loading of items into vehicles.
  • Proactively use radio communication.
  • Work with teammates to learn and grow into our systems that make us successful
  • Answer phone calls professionally and promptly as needed
  • Help the team with open/close procedures
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
  • High school education or above.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team and with great energy and persistence.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Available to work weekends.

Physical Requirements to Perform Duties:

  • Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift at least 75 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to use basic power tools
