Maintenance Technician II - Falcon Point

Join our team at Falcon Point Resort, managed by East West Hospitality and located in Avon, Colorado, at the base of Beaver Creek Resort. We are looking for an organized Maintenance Technician II to join our team! If you enjoy troubleshooting, and have good communication skills, we would love to meet you! The ideal candidate has some general maintenance skills, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Duties Include: Performs required maintenance and repair on all hotel rooms, amenity areas, public areas, pool and hot tubs, and appliances as needed. Checks spa facilities to ensure optimum operation and service. Performs hotel room, amenity area and common area repairs and maintenance in a timely fashion. Completes room checks in all areas, regularly for repairs. Notifies supervisor of areas/items in need of attention, in respect to major repairs. Completes preventative maintenance requests as assigned. Maintains and services a variety of test equipment and hand and power tools. Removes snow from walkways, stairways, and driveways. Checks major mechanical equipment and record pressures, gauge readings, temperatures, etc. Checks pool and spa equipment and ensures proper operation of equipment and chemical levels. Performs off-season preventative maintenance checklists, when appropriate. Assists with maintenance inventory of supplies and materials, ensuring availability. Responds to questions and complaints from the front desk team, address accordingly. Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with public and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment. Observes safe work methods and uses safety equipment; secures worksites from safety hazards as necessary.

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate: $23 / hour

Schedule: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Minimum Requirements: Experience with appliance repair is a must. Basic knowledge of general building maintenance. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Good customer service skills and experience dealing with guests, associates, and the general public is required. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to lift and carry heavy items. Ability to prioritize and organize. Ability to troubleshoot. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and other departments. Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English Fast learner.
