Job Description:

Primary Responsibility

Under the supervision of the Library Director this position serves and assists the students, staff and faculty of the campus as well as the greater community, by providing excellent library service to its respective patrons.  

*This is a part-time position which is limited to 28 hours per CMC’s workweek. CMC’s workweek is Saturday through Friday.

Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)

Education and experience sufficient to meet the rigors of the position. Examples may include a Associate’s Degree or two-year college certificate, vocational school or technical program beyond high school, business college, or similar training efforts and 1-year related work experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 2 years related work experience. Or equivalent education and experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the functions of the position.

Special Skills or abilities directly applicable to the position: Basic knowledge of computers and computing, including basic software and online searching ability, ability, and desire to learn new technologies, a strong commitment to customer service, good communication skills, including English proficiency.  Exhibit exceptional verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.  Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.  Organize and prioritize work while exercising flexibility, teamwork, and humor.
