Primary Responsibility
Under the supervision of a designated supervisor, the Enrollment Services Specialist is responsible for assisting with enrollment, registration, financial aid and recordkeeping procedures in cooperation with faculty and administration at assigned campus. The Enrollment Services Specialist may serve as a lead, assisting with the supervision and training of other front desk staff.
The Enrollment Specialist will provide English and Spanish services to support academic pathways for all, with particular focus on English as Second Language (ESL), High School Equivalency (HSE/GED), and concurrent enrollment. The work will include guiding current and prospective students, coordinating campus programs, developing and implementing projects, and attending external events. Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)
Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position. Examples may include a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and two years related work experience; or, Associate’s Degree and three years related work experience, or High School Diploma/GED and four years related work experience or equivalent education and experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the functions of the position.
Knowledge of: variety of standard administrative and business methods and procedures; standard Microsoft Office software. Familiarity with other software such as Access, Publisher, Photoshop, and Indesign is beneficial.
Ability to: read, write, speak, and understand English well; operate variety of office equipment; proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail; multi- task; meet deadlines; strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) or conversational language abilities required. The position will come with an additional 5% bilingual (Spanish/English) pay differential. The finalist will be required to complete language skill testing to verify bilingual skills.
Hiring range = $47,777.79 - $53,086.43 ($22.97 - $25.52 hourly) annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience. CMC utilizes a wage progression compensation model that accounts for a candidate’s skill and experience. Although a salary range is listed, salary will be set commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Minimum Qualifications:
Essential Duties

Processing student admissions applications.

Organizes applicant communications.

Assists students with tuition classification questions and disputes.

Assist with Front Line Financial Aid Counseling, including; FAFSA assistance. General counseling on financing options; provides FA Self-Serve support and guidance.

Supports and mentors other Enrollment Services staff.

Assists with the campus/department front desk planning, organization, and coordinating of student registration activities including concurrent enrollment students.

Processing and maintenance of student records. Assists with components of campus one card system.

General front office procedures including: Maintains lists and files, Prepares various reports, Assembles bulletin/brochure information, Course programming and scheduling information, Bulletin/class schedule production, Scheduling; customer service, Front office procedures, Provides information, data and general clerical support to faculty, staff, administration and students, and Prepares and/or assists in development of instructional materials, reports, publications.

Coordinates programs, projects, events, special activities including Career Services activities on campus.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received
This position receives general supervision from a designated supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position may supervise student employees and serve as a lead to other staff.
Special Conditions of Employment
Successful completion of a background check including motor vehicles records report will be required. Incumbents in this position will adhere to all safety and compliance policies of Colorado Mountain College while performing all duties assigned. May require travel within the college district, altered work schedule and/or occasional evening/weekend hours.
Working Conditions
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally.
