Ski & Snowboard Technician

Blue River Sports and Mountain Wave Snowboards are looking for a dozen people to train as technicians for a full time, seasonal position. No experience necessary. $22/hour plus end of season bonus AND Epic Local ski pass provided. Flexible hours allow for 4 to 5 days a week for skiing/riding.

Education Level: High school education or GED required

Experience Level: Entry Level

Blue River Sports has been in business under the same ownership in Breckenridge since 1982. Mountain Wave was opened in 1993 to accommodate the snowboard business. Our primary business is ski and snowboard rental. We have been successful by offering a good product at a fair price with an emphasis on customer service and satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS
Good communications skills and a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers. A demonstrated ability to be a team player. A strong work ethic. Previous experience working with the public is helpful. Ski industry experience is not necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Proper selection, fit and adjustment of the customer’s skis or snowboards, boots, bindings and poles according to their height, weight, and skiing ability.
2. Tuning, repair, care and storage of this equipment. After training and demonstrated ability, technicians will be expected to tune outside customer skis and boards.
