The Tradeshow Warehouse Lead Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate tradeshow booths, promo items and literature arrive on time and intact at multiple shows throughout the year along with on-site supervision of certain shows. The timely and successful execution of the Tradeshow shipping plan is vital to the success of our Tradeshow Division.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shipping, and receiving trade show booths to and from shows based on direction from trade show account manager, as well as communicating status to the account manager.
• Checking booths each time they return to make sure they are in good repair and arranging for repairs/cleaning as needed.
• Unpacking boxes, crates, and pallets upon their return.
• Use scanners to read barcodes on products when shipping/receiving and putting back into inventory. Create barcodes when needed.
• Pulling and prepping orders and packing them for shipment
• Loading boxes into truck or palletize for shipment
• Troubleshooting problems
• Ensuring shipment meets quality requirements
• Operating power industrialized trucks (PIT) such as forklift or pallet driver, and work at heights up to 20 feet. Equipment training and certification are provided free of cost
Necessary Skills and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office programs and the ability to learn new software
• Excellent organization skills, multi-tasking and paying close attention to details
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend and reach during shifts and lift up to 49 pounds
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable to operate company vehicles
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with clients, co-workers, and vendors
• Ability to detect conflicts and problems and have the knowledge and initiative to solve them quickly
• Local travel will be required, as well as travel to show sites across the country to supervise on-site labor crews and interact with the client during show duration.
• Must have the ability to work independently, prioritizing with minimal supervision
Employees must adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production criteria.
Work Schedule:
• Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with (1) hour for lunch. OT is required to accommodate tradeshow needs when applicable.
