Job Description

Shannon Construction/ShanCon Builds is looking for individuals experienced in the following trade related work areas: bricklaying, tuckpointing, brick removal, stone removal, stone laying. We are looking for someone with a positive and dedicated attitude to work with our team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in the MD/DC area. Hourly rate posted includes both base pay and fringe rate allowing employee to pay for health care coverage of their choice.

Duties and Responsibilities for Bricklayer:

Cut brick with saw or hammer
Spread mortar and lay brick to job standards
Build walls and/or corners with level
Tool all work to specifications

Duties and Responsibilities for Tuckpointer:

Grind or chip out old mortar
Push in new mortar with tools until full
Mix mortar for pointing
Finish and polish all surfaces

Qualifications

Must have 3+ years of construction work experience in Bricklaying
Must familiar with working on scaffolding
Must have own tools
Communication Skills
Can utilize power tools
