Class A CDL With Hazmat Experienced Driver

We are seeking an experienced driver with a Class A CDL With Hazmat to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer from terminal to terminal on a dedicated route. This route is between Sterling, VA, Harrisburg, PA and Virginia Beach, VA. Weekly schedule starts Sunday night/Monday morning and ends Saturday mornings in Sterling, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer, including safely backing into terminal bay doors
• Accurately use Omnitracs Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to document driving and off-duty time in accordance with DOT regulations
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch using the Qualcomm system and/or phone calls
• Inspect truck before and after each trip, including proper tire inflation as well as oil and fluid levels
• Report any problems with the truck immediately to company

Qualifications:

• At least one year of previous tractor-trailer experience
• Commercial driver's license with Hazmat endorsement
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Able to interact with others respectfully and professionally as a representative of the company
• Strong work ethic

***This position is as an Independent Contractor.***

Pay is based on a completed-load basis. Current dedicated route gets you home every weekend. (For those who live close to Sterling, VA, you have the option to reset your hours at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays.)

The successful candidate will agree to travel to Columbus, Ohio, to attend a 2-day training seminar. All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
