Responsibilities:
Responsibilities span across Primary Research methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, communities, etc.) and Secondary Research (monitoring, measurement, etc.). Collect, disseminate, and manage information, market and financial data relating to the manufacturing technology industry in support of the economic, market, and business planning functions of the research department.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our tools, platforms, and research methodologies
- Provide domestic and international market intelligence to promote the memberships global advancement
- Interpreting research data and insights to create a compelling story that meets project and research objectives and is near client-ready for VP review and input
- Work with colleagues in the development of research results, including producing client deliverables and developing analysis, implications, and recommendations to the client
Develop, maintain, and improve documentation of departmental work processes to capture best-known practices.
Manage all aspects of periodic financial reporting programs including data collection, data entry, data verification, data analysis, confidentiality issues, report generation and report distribution.
Monitor, measure and analyze the performance of departmental products and services to develop and implement improvement strategies.
- Develop proposals including effectively understanding client objectives, scoping projects, identifying appropriate methodologies to meet objectives, and pricing Understanding key client information including general business strategy, products and services offered, and key customers
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in business, finance, accounting, statistics, or economics with 2+ years of experience
- Knowledge of the languages of marketing, public affairs, branding, communications, and general business strategy
Knowledge of organizational management, with an understanding of these areas of specialization: economics, statistics, survey techniques, and data analytics;
A working knowledge of R, Python, and/or other scientific methods for analyzing large data sets to identify predictive or correlational analytics;
- Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to work independently, with strong work ethic and adherence to deadlines
- Able to prioritize work and manage time to complete work on time and within the project budget
Advanced experience with an understanding of computers, database software, analytics software, and business software applications;
