Craig offers many opportunities for local outdoor recreation, camping, rafting, paddle boarding, kayaking, skiing/snowboarding, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, etc.We provide L4 ED care, inpatient care, diagnostic imaging, surgery, laboratory, special care unit, cardiopulmonary, oncology and chemotherapy services and more.SHIFT: Days, 40 hours guaranteedCERTS: BLS,o Active Colorado Physical Therapy License or compact license.EMR: EPICHOUSING: Leads uploaded into our Medefis account under 'facility group documents'JOB DESCRIPTION: Physical Therapist with competency with outpatient orthopedics is required, some subacute inpatient coverage as needed.Position Purpose:To examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. "Transforming society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience."Essential Functions and Basic Duties:Position Specific Performance Expectations:o Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary team.o Diagnoses and manages movement dysfunction and enhances physical and functional abilities.o Restores, maintains, and promotes not only optimal physical function but optimal wellness and fitness and optimal quality of life as it relates to movement and health.o Prevents the onset, symptoms, and progressions of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries.o Recommends use of assistive devices and provides gait training, as deemed necessary.o Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.o Documents patient care services via EMR charting using defensible documentation in a timely and concise manner, in compliance with industry standards.o Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.o Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.o Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; participates in professional societies.o Develops rehab and hospital staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-service training programs.o Complies with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.o Strives to promote health, creates a safe and effective treatment environment, motivates others, has a good bedside manner, listens, analyzes information, and is quality focused.o Participates in ongoing professional development to maintain a level of clinical practice consistent with best practice standards. This includes seeking opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills and utilizing these newly acquired skills in the provision of care and for growth and development of the department and hospital.o Critically assesses self to improve clinical and professional performance.o Advocates for the physical therapy profession.o Performs other duties as assigned.School-based physical therapists (in addition to above expectations): o Collaborates with the school-based team to help determine and carryout Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); identify a student s annual goals and determine the services, supports, modifications, and accommodations that are required for the student to achieve them.Home health physical therapists (in addition to above expectations):o Provide in-home physical therapy services to homebound patients and works in collaboration with the home health interdisciplinary team.Organization Wide Performance Expectations:o Demonstrates 100% commitment to performing according to the CHOICE values of MRH and representing the organization in a positive and professional manner.o Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication and good working relationships with all patients, staff and vendors. o Adheres to MRH attire/dress code per policies and procedures.o Utilizes initiative; strives to maintain steady level of productivity; self-motivated; manages activity and time.o Completes annual education, training, in-service, and licensure/certification requirements; attends departmental and organizational staff meetings or reads meeting minutes.o Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.o Reports to work on time as scheduled; completes work within designated timeframes.o Actively participates in departmental and facility performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.o Strives to uphold regulatory requirements to ensure continual compliance with departmental, hospital, state and federal regulations and policies.o Follows policies and procedures for infection control, safety, and risk management to ensure a safe environment for patients, public, and staff.QualificationsMinimum Requirements: o Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions).o Must be able to legally work in the United States.o Must be able to pass a background check.o Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable)o Must complete employee health meeting.Required Education/Licensure/Certification:o Active Colorado Physical Therapy License (DORA) or compact license.o Current CPR (BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire per MRH Policy). o Valid Driver s License (Home Health only).
