About WE-cycle: WE-cycle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community bike sharing program. WE-cycle seeks to transform the Roaring Fork Valley's landscape into one that prioritizes bicycles over vehicles, replaces traffic congestion with vibrancy, improves our visitor experience and retention, and demonstrates innovation and leadership.

Position Type: Year-round: Full-time

Position Overview: WE-cycle is seeking a full-time bikeshare operator who will work throughout the WE-cycle service area within the Roaring Fork Valley. Operator responsibilities consist of relocating WE-cycle bikes to ensure availability for riders and completing routine bike maintenance and system related activities. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Relocate WE-cycle fleet bikes, using either e-bike or car, to ensure even distribution and availability at stations 
• Complete regular inspection and cleaning of bicycles and stations
• Complete basic bicycle and station repairs

Supporting Responsibilities

• Rider Support, both in person and over the phone
• Assist in construction and placement of WE-cycle infrastructure
• Assist in basic warehouse operations
• Assist at WE-cycle events and valets

Job Requirements

• Drivers license & clean driving record are required
• Competent with computer and app-based systems
• Ability to ride upwards of 15 miles on an e-bike while relocating bikes
• Ability to drive a vehicle towing a trailer
• Ability to safely lift 45-lb bikes many times each day

Desirable Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude, preferred
• Ability to reprioritize tasks quickly and efficiently
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) applicants strongly encouraged

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage of $22 hour, depending on related experience 
• Health, dental, and vision insurance covered at 90% by employer
• Up to six weeks Paid Time Off, based on full-time, year-round position
