Unit Clerk

Looking for a full-time, fast-paced clerical position in a healthcare setting? Brook Lane Health Services is seeking a Unit Clerk to function on our busy inpatient mental health unit. Brook Lane is a leading provider of mental health treatment and education in the region.

Hours Available:

Full-time 3:00pm - 11:30 pm 40 hours/ with e/o weekend

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintains patient records and logs
• Prepares new patient charts
• Acts as unit receptionist
• Performs clerical duties for unit
• Sends discharge documents
• Manages phone calls coming into hospital
• Uses EPIC EMR

Qualifications:

• High School degree required
• Inpatient unit clerk experience or busy outpatient medical office
• Clerical experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions
• Intermediate level computer skills
• Ability to learn new software
• Experience using electronic medical record
• Ability to work independently at times

Starting pay depends on experience. Hours after 3PM qualify for a shift differential of an extra $1.50 weekday or $2.50 weekend per hour
