Cloud DevOps Engineer

Target Salary: Up to $185,000

Job Description:

• Help promote state-of-the-art IT solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and share lessons learned.
• Focus on creating and maintaining containers as well as enabling container deployments and implementations of serverless architectures within AWS.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

• Object Oriented Programming experience.
• Requires expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs or systems.
• Be willing to help in all cases as well as be familiar with architectural best practices.
• Will have experience with Jenkins and building Jenkins Pipelines using Groovy, Python and bash shell scripts.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., RDS, Oracle, Postgres) MySQL.
• Experience in continuous integration technology (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab/GitHub).
• Experience with interacting in a Linux environment (ex - Bash scripting).
• Experience with Jenkins and creating Jenkins Pipelines while having and understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices.
• Versatility and enthusiasm to take on new problems.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science OR equivalent combination of education and experience of a minimum 12 years, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 11.5 years' experience is typically considered to be SME level.
• Must have extensive experience working with this Customer.
• Must have detailed experience with AWS (e.g., CloudFormation Stacks, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and ElasticSearch).
• Must have experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Groovy or bash shell scripting.
• Must possess detailed experience with AWS and all of its resources (or least its main ones: EC2, S3, cloud formation stacks and RDS), as well as be very familiar with Cloud formation scripts to create and maintain AWS resources.
• Must have experience with programming in an any programming language, preferably in Ruby, Python, javascipt, Groovy or NodeJS.
• Must have experience with using the AWS CDK in any of its supported languages: Ruby, Python, Java, NodeJS, etc. (Java, C# experience would be nice, but it is not mandatory. However, this experience will be vital in helping the development teams utilize AWS correctly.).
